Inspired by a love of vintage cross-stitch samplers, this classic quilt is reminiscent of that kind of traditional handwork in both feel and motif. As someone who dabbles ever so slightly in stitchery but whose true love is quilting, this project is my interpretation of a vintage cross stitch sampler but in fabric! There is just something about those nostalgic cross-stitch sampler images that draws me in every time their play on scale and classical folk art motifs, their personalized date and name touches, their images of hearth & home Every one of them is such a wonderful source of inspiration for my quilty design brain.

Finished size – 71.5\” x 80.5\”
