P\’titBasque is a sheep\’s milk cheese produced in France\’s Basque region in the Pyrenees Mountains.Traditionallyhandmade by shepherds from left over curds set aside from milking their ewes, this cheese is stillmade using the same methods applied by the local shepherds.

The semi-firm cheese is aged for a minimum of seventy days, during which it develops adistinctbasket-weave pattern. A favourite of ours here at the shop,PtitBasquehas a distinctive aroma of sheeps milk and a smooth, sweet flavour with a nutty finish.

This cheese makes a greatsnack with fruits, grilled vegetables and curedmeats.
