This chazutsu (tea canister) is made from tin-plated steel for a simple and modern design featuring an airtight inner lid, perfect for keeping tea fresh. Note: the canister\’s capacity is measured with sencha, meaning it may hold more or less of other teas.

Founded in 1910, Kotodo () has been producing handmade tea canisters for 112 years. Compared to machine-made canisters, their washi-wrapping is seamless, with no bumps where the lid meets the body, producing a clean silhouette. Additionally, the lid can be rotated counter-clockwise until it clicks, ensuring the pattern is perfectly aligned.

A note on craftsmanship:
Each canister is handmade, so light marks or variations on the metal and washi are natural. These unique details celebrate the artisanal process and do not affect the tins quality or performance.

+ Matcha is not included, tea canister only.
+ Product Sizing: Silver Tin Canister / Wide 3.5oz (100g)
